Cinereous Vultures, Griffon vultures, Dalmatian Pelicans and wind farms? Not in the same places!

Cinereous Vultures, Griffon vultures, Dalmatian Pelicans and wind farms? Not in the same places!

On Monday, October 20, in Prespa, we’ll talk about the impacts of poorly sited wind farms on Greece’s large birds.

Every year, birds of prey and pelicans die after colliding with wind turbines.

Representatives from the Society for the Protection of Biodiversity of Thrace, the Hellenic Ornithological Society and the SPP will present data from Thrace, Akarnanika Mountains and Macedonia and will discuss the issue with invited journalists. The event will conclude with an open discussion with the public.
