Learning About Wetlands – Educational Activity for World Environment Day

Learning About Wetlands – Educational Activity for World Environment Day

On the occasion of World Environment Day, around 45 children from the Primary School of Agios Germanos in Prespa enthusiastically took part in the Society for the Protection of Prespa’s educational program: “Wetlands & Pelicans: Observe, Record, Participate!”  The activity took place in the areas of Krina and Agios Achilleios, in close collaboration with the school’s dedicated teachers.

What could be more meaningful than children learning through hands-on experience – just how vital it is to protect wetlands and wildlife?

Through observation, exploration, and teamwork, the children became little nature explorers – showing us all that the future of our planet is in good hands.

A big thank you to all the teachers for their trust and continued support.

The school year ends with smiles, meaningful experiences, and hope for what’s to come!

This environmental education initiative is carried out with the support of the Prespa Ohrid Nature Trust (PONT).
